Artist’s Statement:  Infused with magic and myth, my work investigates the confluence of divergent species in the natural world, showcasing enigmatic narratives of shape-shifting, mutation and the struggle to survive.  Imaginative sentient beings cling to each other, attempting to fend off extinction, or perhaps, discover that something more wondrous can occur: adaption.  My paintings and drawings engage the bounty of nature I witness in the littoral ecosystems of my home, Hilton Head Island (SC), and the Southeast coast.
